Delta 2023: Ughelli South To Produce Delta Governor as Party leaders Project Kenneth Gbagi 

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, have asserted that; Ughelli South will produce the next governor in 2023, they pledged to work with Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi to secure his emergence in the upcoming PDP primaries.


This was made known during a meeting of PDP executives, Ward Chairmen, and stakeholders with Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi on Monday 24, August 2021 in his Oginibo country home, Ughelli South.  


They collectively commended the former Minister of Education Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi for creating a forum to enable them Rob minds, lay bare their grievance, and deliberate on how Ughelli South aspirants will come together for the 2023 governorship race.



The  Ughelli South, Effurotor Ward PDP, LGA Secretary, Comrade  Ivwromomena commended Gbagi for his leadership roles, he said,  " We are left out, the leaders don't care about us till election periods, the issue is that those in the apex level of the party does not have any regular meeting".


Another Party faithful who appreciated Gbagi was Hon. Comr Omogosibo Benjamin, PDP Ughelli South Ward 10 Chairman he said that; Gbagi is the first aspirant to bring party faithful together in Ughelli South. Adding that Gbagi has done a lot, we must support him, he appealed to him to forgive all who have spoken wrongly about him in ignorance.
Others who spake include Rt Hon. Precious Ejenake, Ward chairman Ewu Ward 1, Chairman of all chairmen, Ughelli South, urged Gbagi to unite all Leaders in Ughelli south, 


Dave Gbigidi youth leader Ewu Ward 3, begged Gbagi to remember all Delegates in Ughelli South,
Promised to work with him to win the 2023 Governorship election.

Secretary Ward 1 Ewu, urged him to place people in strategic places and Do all it takes to correct negative perceptions.

They prayed and affirmed their stands that come 2023 Ughelli South is producing the next governor.



In his response, Gbagi commended all the party faithful Urged them to continue supporting Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Party. He also noted that He has no Enemies and is ready to extend his hands of fellowship to other Aspirants.


He also stated that the party is supreme and loyalty is key hence he is a supportive foundation member of the party for decades. He also assured them that come 2023 he will be sworn in as the Governor of Delta State.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
