Group Commends Delta South Senator, Joel For Appointing APC Chieftain Ebiakpo Ezebri  A political pressure group, Ijaw Patriotic Front has commended the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for appointing one of the founding members of the Delta State All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Ebiakpo Ezebri as  senior Special Assistant, (SSA) The group in a release signed by self-styled Commander Ebi Prebor praised the Senator saying that he made the right decision.  Prebor said Ebiakpo Ezebri will use his wealth of experience to handle all assignments that will be entrusted to him by his principal. The statement reads, “Senator Joel is in good hands. Mr. Ebiakpo Ezebri will carry out his duties effectively, his competence is never in doubt".

BREAKING NEWS: Gbagi Rejects Tribunal's Judgement, Says Delta Must Be Liberated Governorship candidate on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the last general election in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi FNIM, OON, has rejected the judgement of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. Gbagi, a renowned Criminologist, described the judgement as miscarriage of justice, insisting that he will exhaust every legal process available to him. The former chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Kenneth Orusi, on Friday September 29th 2023, disagreed with the judgement. He said the judgement striking out the 5th to 13th Respondents from his petition was not only ridiculous but laughable. Sheriff Oborevwori, Tuesday, urged the Federal Government and relevant stakeholders to work towards revitalising the nation’s refineries, insisting that Nigeria has no reason to import petrol with its cost implications on the economy. Palliatives: Delta State Government Receives 13,800 Bags of grains  Delta State Government says it is in possession of 13,800 out of the 17,400 bags of grains expected from the Federal Government, as palliatives to cushion the impact of oil subsidy removal. Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, made this known in Asaba, the capital, during a meeting with state Steering Committee for Palliative Programme. He said the state government was taking full responsibility for the palliatives, adding that the Federal Government only acted as the facilitator by extending loan to the state, which would be repaid in 20 months.
