Delta State Governorship Aspirant Kenneth Gbagi Congratulates Chief James Ibori @ 63 Years


The Delta state 2023 Delta State Governorship Aspirant, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi has felicited with the former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori on the occasion of his 63 birthday.

In a statement to the former Governor, Gbagi said, "Today marks another milestone in your sojourn in life as you turn 63".


"It is fervently our duty and responsibility as we transform into eldership of our various communities and society to ensure we leave it better than our fathers left it for us"

"My wish for you on a day like this as you turn 63 is that you will contribute more by way of physical involvement, positive contribution, and above it all demonstrate the highest form of character beyond the imagination of us all"

"We join people, friends of yours, family of yours both within and outside Delta state to thank God for your life and as all that we saw yesterday we will never see again in life, what is left for us all right now is honesty of purpose, intention and towards transforming, I recall when you and I met in 1998/99, how years has flown by, how a lot of people that we started with are no longer here, for which we give thanks to God and for that I celebrate you at 63".

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
