The Court of Appeal in Abuja has imposed N40milion fine against an Abuja-based lawyer, Ambrose Owuru, for filing a frivolous suit with which he had sought to prevent the May 29 inauguration. In a judgment on Thursday, a three-member panel of the court was unanimous in holding that the appeal by Owuru and his party, the Hope Democratic Party (HDP) amounted to an abuse of the court process. In the lead judgment, Justice Jamil Tukur held that the appeal was an invitation for the court to review its earlier decision, which it cannot do. Justice Tukur said the issues in the appeal had earlier been determined by the court while sitting as an election petition court after the 2019 election, with a judgment given on August 22, 2019. He equally found that the Supreme Court had also heard the case and pronounced it with a judgment given on October 28, 2019. JUST IN: Presidential Election Petition Adjourns To May 10  The presidential election petition tribunal has adjourned its sitting. The Tribunal adjourned its sitting to  Wednesday, May 10 , matters brought before it challenging the outcome of the 2023 presidential election. This was disclosed in a tweet on Monday by one of the spokespersons for the  Labour party, LP, Kenneth Okonkwo. “After a brief pre-hearing trial, the case was adjourned to Wednesday, 10th May 2023 at 2 pm prompt,” Okonkwo wrote. Aladja, Ogbe-Ijoh accuses each other of planned attacks in Delta  A serious crisis is brewing between Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities in Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State as they accuse each other of alleged planned attacks. SDP Dissolves Delta Excos, Sacks Chairman for Wildrawing Party's Suit from Tribunal  The leadership of the Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP), on Tuesday, dissolved the executive bodies of the Delta State branch with immediate effect,  sacking the state Chairman, Mr. Oke Idawene. The dissolution was contained in a letter from the National Working Committee, (NWC), signed by National Secretary, Dr.Olu Agunloye. The NWC decision was due to the chairman's inability to resolve the protracted crisis within Delta State Chapter of the party, worse more, the unworthy roles being played by members of the State Executive Committee in this matter.  The letter stated that; "The NWC, in consonance with the 2022 Constitution of the Party, has approved the dissolution  of the Delta State Executive Committee with immediate effect; and has also approved the constitution of Delta  State Caretaker Committee and the appointment of Mrs Esther Ikule, as the Acting State Chairm
