PIA Benefits: Heirs Energies, NNPC Deliver Over 50 Projects in Rivers Host Communities Healthcare, electricity, potable water, roads, education among key interventions Heirs Energies and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) have supported the delivery of more than 50 community development projects across the OML 17 host communities in Rivers State, with over 70 projects in the development portfolio. The projects are being implemented through the OML 17 Host Communities Development Trust (HCDT), established under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021 to promote sustainable development across 80 host communities. The completed interventions cover electricity, potable water, school infrastructure, healthcare facilities, roads, modern markets and vocational training.
