COVID-19: President Buhari Goes Into Isolation, See VP Osinbajo's Assignment

President Buhari and members of his entourage who recently arrived from the United Kingdom have complied with the NCDC guidelines for international travel.

The presidential aide stated that the measure was in accordance with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines for international travel.

The senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed the development on Sunday.

The presidency also disclosed that Buhari is expected to get updates from his deputy, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo about happenings in the country following his return from the UK.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. The union announced the suspension on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja.
