Delta Traditional Medicine Board, Damayo Health Care Assures Quality Services

 The Executive Director of Damayo Alternative Health Care Service, Dr. Johnson Ogundare
in collaboration with the Delta State Traditional Medicine Board are organizing Herbal Medicine 
Exhibition at Ughelli as part of efforts to bring health services closer to the people.
 Speaking to this reporter at the on-going Scientific Herbal Exhibition in Ughelli Kingdom 
Hall, Ughelli North LGA of Delta State, Dr. Ogundare said that the exhibition would showcase 
several herbal products for people who seek medical attention on several problems and cure to 
all ailments and diseases.
 Dr. Ogundare disclosed that he has carried out research on various ailments and has also 
introduced diagnostic methods before giving out prescriptions to patients, stressing that he has 
permanent cure to diabetes, asthma and hypertension which has posed serious challenges to 
orthodox medicine.
 According to him “African Herbal Practitioners have succeeded in getting remedy to 
various ailments from traditional medicine popularly called alternative medicine. We have 
recorded tremendous success in treatment of some diseases and ailments with most of our 
herbal products approved by NAFDAC”.
 Speaking further on his passion to take care of sick people, Dr. Ogundare said that he has 
done research on tough ailments and was able to find cure and solution, stressing that those 
who visit his stand at the on-going Health Exhibition in Ughelli would be happy.
 “When you visit the exhibition, you will see that your effort is not in vain, because of my 
Nigeria heritage in addition to innovative technology. We deliver balanced and improved 
quality herbal products to our customers and all who patronize us. The quality of everyday life 
in Africa is very important to us and will make sure we continue to improve” he added. 
 Dr. Ogundare said he will continue to offer quality and integrated health services and

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention. Speaking on behalf of the protesters, Chairman of the retirees, Christopher Effiong said many of their members have developed terminal illnesses and heart attacks as a result of the frustration associated with the scheme. In a letter dated May 21 and addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the retirees said many of their colleagues have lost their lives due to the prevai
