Rivers Traditional Ruler Murdered By His 51-Year-Old Wife During An Argument The Rivers State Police have apprehended a 51-year-old woman for hacking her husband to death during an argument in Rivers state. The suspect, identified as  Gladys Amadi  killed her husband  Eze Napoleon Amadi , who is the traditional leader of Chokocho Etche community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State at their home in Igwuruta community, Ikwerre Local Government Area, it was gathered. Mrs. Amadi admitted to killing her husband with a machete while being paraded at the premises of the State Criminal Investigation Department on Wednesday, October 27. She revealed that the crime occurred on October 8, 2021. The accused revealed that she killed her husband out of self-defense and that he initially planned to use the machete on her but she overpowered him and proceeded to kill him. She also stated that her husband was planning to use her and her children for rituals. She said:

Senate Committee rejects Federal Government’s proposal to obtain $200m loan The Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Loans has rejected the Federal Government’s proposal to obtain $200m loans for the purchase of treated mosquito nets.  The proposal which was presented before the senate by the Federal Ministry of Health was thrashed and described as unacceptable on Tuesday. The woman, identified as Hairun Jalmanl was convicted for drug possession and distribution charges. Jalmanl was sentenced to death in Tawa High Court in Sabah after she was caught with 113.9g of meth in 2018.
