Trump Vows Comeback After Midterm Defeat US President Donald Trump pledged a major political comeback on Sunday following a decisive midterm election defeat that handed Democrats control of both houses of Congress. The loss severely limits Trump’s legislative leverage entering the final two years of his term while exposing his administration, family business dealings, and key advisers to aggressive congressional oversight.
