Clash Between Ijaw, Bini Communities: Many Feared Missing, Dead as Bloody Crises loom in Edo State

The Ijaws in Edo State yesterday raised an alarm following several persons who have been reported missing due to lingering communal clash between Obazuwa and Ikoro communities in Edo state.

An Ijaws group in Edo State, IzonIbe Dragnet issued a statement stating that, Obazuwa, a Bini community attacked Ikoro, headquarters of Olodiama some days ago.

In a recent development, three youths and an elder on their way from Benin to Ikoro Community, Edwin Ebakumor 35 old, Ayuba kemepade 28yrs, seventy years old victor Layefa and others were Attacked, and abducted as there there is Fear that they may have been killed.
 
In a  press statement signed by the Spokesman of Izon-Ibe Dragnet, Bandua Itebete states that "members of Ikoro Community has been ambushed by the Obazuwa Community people, this has  hightened tenssion between the Communities as the Ijaws hands down 48hours automatum to Obazuwa Community to produce those abducted either dead or alive".




The statement added that an eyewitness who escaped with bullet wounds said, they were returning from Benin to Ikoro, upon getting to Obazuwa Community he was shocked that they were ambushed by youths of Obazuwa Community of Edo State, who opened gunfire sporadically at them.




"The statement also added that, "We wish to issue a 48hours Ultimatum for the people of Obazuwa Community to Produce the abducted members of Ikoro either dead or alive before the Expiration of the ultimatum because it is going to be Bloody all over".

Woman Burned to Death, Accused of Kidnapping 7yrs Old Boy in Delta
