"None of these leaders in their various rank are my enemies, none. Either Izeze, Mrakpor, Chief Oguma, name them; even with other leaders, we have in one way or the other sat down together, we have ate together, we have done things together but you, our followers, wrong informations, wrong stories, wrong comments that I don't do, but wanting to leave your own to go and queue for what we called... Wether you like it, wether I like it, we must live together, we must work together, we must do things together".



These were the words of the foremost  2023 governorship aspirant in Delta State, Olorogun (Barr.) Kenneth Omemevwa Gbagi when he held meeting with Ughelli South PDP LGA Executive and the 5 Ward Delegates from the 11 wards of Ughelli South LGA of Delta State on Monday 23rd August, 2021 at his country home, Oginibo.

The former Minister who further said that no matter how the tongue and the teeth in a mouth have misunderstanding, they will surely lived together and complement each other for what God has created them for. He sured the PDP LGA Executive and the 5 Ward Executive of his readiness of holding meetings with them regularly.


The frontline and the foremost governorship contenter in the state reassured his LGA delegates that he is very much in the race as the oldest PDP card carrying member that will start his developmental drive from where Okowa will stop, noting that Sen. Okowa is doing his best within the limited resources in his disposal and urged them to always support Governor Okowa so that he can finish even more stronger by 2023.

Olorogun Gbagi who is truth to his words, assured Ughelli South PDP executive that come what may, elections must hold, there must be change of mantle of leadership in Delta State; Delta Central would produced 2023 Governor and urged Ughelli South people to put their house in order for the battle ahead.

Responding, Hon. Michael Oshetigho JP, Ughelli South PDP LGA Cahairman thanked Olorogun Gbagi for creating the opportunity for them to have one on one discussion with him in view of how the party would moved forward. The LGA Chairman said that the meeting has given them the opportunity to be closer with their leader in the LGA.

While, LGA Secretary, Balogun P. Ivwronena, Ward 10 Chairman, Benjamin Omogosibo, Ward 1 Chairman, Rt. Hon. Precious O. Ejenake and other speakers commended Gbagi for being the first among the untold aspirants that are vying for the 2023 governorship election in the state. They appealed to him to use position as a leader to bring Ughelli South leaders together for Ughelli South to clintch the party ticket.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
