DELTA 2023: Mokery as DC-23 Parades Social Media patronisers as Governorship Aspirant, lines up Jobmen for settlement
It is laughable that the supposedly Delta Central 2023 (DC-23), lobbying group, has turned to jamboree as they hurriedly put together names of political jobbers as Delta Central governorship aspirants come 2023.
If truly, the leaders and elders of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), in the district wants them to be taken seriously by the governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, who still sees them as jokers, they would pick trusted, committed and dedicated men.
Precisely, on 9th October 2021, the governor sent a strong message to Delta Central PDP during the Mega Rally held at the Stadium for them to put their house in order.
Rather than looking for a viable aspirant that could deliverer on the expectations of Deltans, they resorted to accommodating all comers who sees governorship race as a political commerce and these jobbers sees DC 23 as a mediator who will deliver gratification for stepping down.
It is worthy to note that most of the aspirants including Chief Abel Esievo, Olorogun David Edevbie, Chief Ejaife Odebala, Chief James Augoye, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, Chief Kenneth Okpara, Chief Fred Majemite, Hon. Efe Ofobruku, Chief Bright Edejegwhro, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Evang. Akpo Ofomona and Peter Mrakpor Esq. have not made any notable consultation to critical stakeholders across the other two senatorial districts.
It will interest you to note that the one and only aspirant with character and integrity with
no track records of corruption and capacity outside government renumeration is Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, who has consulted far and wide.
It would be recall that the governor, said: "The truth is that someone who wants to go for competition, will put his house in order.
"You cannot say you want to contest election and carry 15 persons, it will not be easy. My own is to speak, your own is to listen".
