 It was a gale of defection from the Delta State All Progressive Congress, APC to the People's Democratic Party durring the Delta central People's Democratic Party,  PDP Mega really in Sapele Delta State.

Notable political leaders in the state, the  Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Governorship aspirants, notably Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi and his teeming supporters made the rally colorful, successful and peaceful.


The former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Monday Igbuya and former Federal House of Representative member, Chief Hon Solomon Edoja others and their teeming supporters decamped from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the People's Democratic Party.

PDP Delta State Chairman, Barrister Kingsley Esiso, durring the occasion said that, the PDP mega rally gladdens his heart and it is Delta central turn to Produce the governor.

Governor Okowa however commended all party faithfuls, aspirants and their supporters who trooped out emass to show capacity for PDP, the governor Stated clearly that Chief Ighoyota Amori of DC-23, Delta central must put their house in order, adding the he has done the speaking and the people job is to listen. 



Kenneth Gbagi who moved his teeming supporters to the PDP Delta Central Rally in Sapele Township Stadium, today Saturday 23rd October, 2021 enjoyed a cordial discussion with the governor, giving the party more impetus to win the 2023 Elections.


 Governor Okowa in a strong statement admonished PDP members in Delta central to be organized if they must win.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
