Persons Living With Disabilities Converge in Warri, Donates Wheelchair, Seeks Support 



Physically challenged persons, under the auspices of Empowerment for Global Disability Aid Initiative (EGDAI) yesterday Tuesday, donated a Wheel Chair to Miss Rita Oke a physically  challenge 29 years lady who reside in Warri Delta State.

The President of the group, Dr. Kenneth Edu and the Vice president Mr. Gilbert Akama appealed to the Nigerian government at all level and international communities to support Persons with Disabilities, adding that they need sponsors and programmes to enable them serve the society.

The Vice president, Mr. Gilbert Akama who made the donation on behalf of the group disclosed that challenged persons can serve the society in diverse capacity if given a motivating platform and opportunities to fully usage their potentials.

 Global Disability Aid Initiative, EGDAI, is a government recognised and incorporated Non Governmental Organization with the aim of creating opportunities for the disabled persons to live a comfortable live free of unnecessary stress.

FocalPoint can report fairly that physically challenged persons who converted in Warri yesterday were saddened as most of them lacks resources to afford walking aids from place to place, they helplessly but hopefully yearning for support from a philanthropist and well meaning Nigerians to come for their aid.

Most of them need wheelchairs, and other walking aids as they work hard to play their role in the society. helplessly in their pitiable condition however, executive members of EGDAI resorted to sharing the sum of two thousand naira to support the venerable ones, all in their own efforts. 

The president of the physically challenged persons, Dr. Edun told our reporter that EGDAI has been supporting the physically challenged from her establishment till date, adding that they need support from organisations, leaders, government, philanthropist and international agencies.

Woman Burned to Death, Accused of Kidnapping 7yrs Old Boy in Delta
