The senior special assistant to Governor Okowa of Delta State lavishes Christmas greetings on the governor.

"In his word Ezekiel Daniel said; I bring you season's greetings as we marks the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. I also wish my boss, our amiable governor, his excellency senator Ifeanyi Okowa happy Christmas and prosperous year".

"He is a promise keeper. A governor like no other. I call him governor general. I pray for him to keep doing his good works in the state. Deltans are proud of him. I wish him God's divine protection and guidance".

"In the same vein, I wish Deltans merry Christmas and prosperous New year. I wish you peaceful celebration of Christ's birth. We are very concerned about the security and the development of our dear state, and we are counting prospects on it".

"I admonished that as we celebrate Christ's birth, we should do so with the right concepts of mind which is extending of Christ's love to our neighbors ,wearing the heart of forgiveness and sharing what we have with them. We should endeavour to reflect on Christ's teachings and be of good citizens. Let's shun crime and turn for a new leaf. Christ is the reason for the celebration and we should do more to put smiles on the faces of our friends, relatives and neighbours".

"I appreciate your cooperation in making the government of state to deliver on it electioneering promises. Our governor earlier promised not to let you down. He is delivering on it. Delta is a safe haven now. Delta State is now peaceful. Many prospective investors are gradually coming now".

"We have all reasons to celebrate with you. Deltans are wonderful people. We are prosperous because the state is delivering on its agenda "prosperity for all Deltans" Our SMART agenda is yielding tremendous result.

"Keep hoping and trusting the ability of our amiable governor, Dr senator Ifeanyi Okowa to finish strong and keep indelible foot marks of good governance".

"I pray for the peace of Christ upon every Deltan. May this season of Christ birth brings divine blessings to our lives. We hope to see you in 2020 being sound and healthy".

NMU Governing Council chairman seeks solutions to challenges facing varsity The Acting Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State,  Adewale Adeogun, has appealed for immediate action to address the pressing challenges facing the institution.   Adeogun, who spoke during the council meeting  in Warri, expressed deep concern over the university’s underdevelopment despite its six-year existence. Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention. Speaking on behalf of the protesters, Chairman of the retirees, Christopher Effiong said many of their members have developed terminal illnesses and heart attacks as a result of the frustration associated with the scheme. In a letter dated May 21 and addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the retirees said many of their colleagues have lost their lives due to the prevai
