Chief Okoromadu Samson Congratulate, Celebrate As HRM. Polokowei Set to Receive Staff of Office, Welcomes Okowa/Otuaro

A Prominent Chief in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, yesterday in Warri, heartily congratulates the  highly distinguished monarch, His Royal Majesty, King Johnbul Polokowei, Ongolo the first (1), Pere of Ogbolubiri Mein Kingdom.

This came as the monarch set to receive a presentation of staff of office by the Delta State Government, on Friday 6th December 2019 at Agbodobiri town, Burutu local government Area, the traditional headquarters of the Kingdom.

Chief Okoromadu Samson, The Ibetareborbou 1 of Ogbolubiri mein kingdom, noted that the rapturous joy within and beyond the kingdom ahead of the ceremony is a testimony that King Johnbul Polokowei will be the great king, a visionary Icon of development, peace, and prosperity.

The Ugbolubiri Chief, Okoromadu Samson, the Managing director of Sikoson impex limited noted that over the years, the monarch is worthy of the confinement, leveraging on his exemplary life which stood him out in the kingdom to be  found worthy indeed and character to ascend the ancestral throne as a royal father. 

Speaking with our correspondent via telephone conversation,Okoromadu Samson said, "We are happy because we have unequivocal confidence that the reign of His Royal Majesty, King Johnbul Polokowei, will usher in peace, development and prosperity much prayed for in the kingdom (Apiarrogu! Apiarrogu!!)."

"I would also like to use this medium to Welcome the Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Dcn (Barr.) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, to Agbodobiri for the presentation of government seal of approval (Staff of Office) to our loved and cherished king We are indeed very grateful". he said

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
