Memories of 2019 Election Haunts Itsekiri's as Olu of Warri Count Losses During Low-key 4th Coronation.

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiameme Ikenwoli in a press statement during his Fourth coronation anniversary in Ode Itsekiri, Warri South Local government Area, on Thursday disclosed that the 2019 general elections have come and gone, but the memories will continue to haunt and live with all well meaning Itsekiri People for a very long time to come.

Berating his people for loosing two House of Assembly seat, he lamented that the sad experience of their losses was due to mutual suspicion, greed, selfishness, narrow mindedness, and unhealthy rivalry which has left a bitter taste in their mouth.

The Warri Monarch, lampooned Itsekiri politicians with great lamentation, wailing their fall from highly guarded positions of Four members in Delta State House of assembly from the various constituencies since the beginning of 9999 political dispensation to 2019, to Mere two seats in the House.

It could be recalled that the Itsekiri's and Ijaws shares the Warri South-West local government, Warri North and Warri South constituency 1 and 2 respectively, however, Itsekiri's seems to have more wards and voting capacity than their counterpart Ijaws, though the Local government chairmanship for Warri South-West is rotated but the House of Assembly seat for the constituency, Delta State has always been occupied the Itsekiri's

They count their loses as an Ijaw man, Mr. Dennis Emomotimi Guwor clinched the primary election with the Peoples Democratic Party in October 2018 and eventually worn the general elections in 2019.

It was like a distasteful pill for the Warri Kingdom as the member representing the constituency an Ijaw man for the first time Since 1999 took his dance steps before the Warri Monarch during the fourth coronation anniversary and receive royal blessing from the Olu with all sense of fulfillment.

The Olu however in his statement said "I am aware of all the horse trading that took place across Party divides".

The monarch did not hide his fears when he panicked that the two Houses of Assembly seats occupied by Itsekiri's remains under serious threat from the Itsekiri politcians.
