Ughelli South to Produce Delta Governor 2023, Kenneth Gbagi set to Defeat Opponents 




For the avoidance of doubt, leading governorship aspirant in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has reiterated that Ughelli south local government area would produce the next governor of the State come 2023.

The visible and prominent gubernatorial hopeful, declared that he would go into the battle, floor his opponents under the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) in the primary and the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the main election and return to his Oginibo country home for merriment.




The former minister of education, gave the resounding assurance on Saturday September 25th 2021, during PDP Ughelli south general meeting held at the party Secretariat, Otu-jeremi, the administrative headquarters of the council.

Addressing the mammoth crowd of party faithful, supporters and teeming admirers who came enmass, the industrialist cum philanthropist, declared, "This battle of politics is not for the boys".

The criminologist and security expert pointed out that he did not found the party for him to abandon it for people with mediocrity, restating that as a founding father of the party, he contested with Chief James Ibori, a one-time former governor of the state.



He charged the people to open their eyes and watch with keen interest, just as he called out to those with ambition to join the race, saying "Ughelli south will produce the next governor".

Hear him: "When we decide to do battle, you need money to do battle. I have told the entire state come out no matter who you are, Ughelli south will produce the next governor. This battle of politics is not for the boys. I am waiting for them at the other end.

"If they don't know, I founded this party and contested elections with Chief James Ibori. I want to beg all of you, look very well. I cannot be the founder of the party and leave it for anybody to take, I will bring the party back to Ughelli south.

"They, as at that time, we all sit down here and make merriment. All I need is your prayers Ughelli south. Lead me to go and do the battle, I know where it is, I know where to do the battle, I will bring the victory back to you and here we will decide what to do", he assured.

Meanwhile, Olorogun Gbagi, the founder of the Gbagi Foundation, a project with which he has touched uncountable number of lives across board and party divide, appreciated the massive support for him.

He noted that the general meeting was a good omen, as it is meant to unite party members at the local government area, to bring growth and development to the party.

The famous political juggernaut, thanked Olorogun John Oguma for his contribution towards the party despite the fact that he is not vying for any political office.

Earlier in his remarks, the local government party chairman, Hon. Michael Oshetigho, while thanking party supporters, requested for a party Secretariat at the council headquarter.

Olorogun Gbagi, assured him that he and  Oguma would in a short time build a modern Secretariat for the party in Otu-Jeremi.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme.
