Kenneth Gbagi Joins Distinguished Nigerians to be conferred with a Chieftaincy title in Yoruba Land
Delta State leading governorship hopeful, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, is set to be conferred with a chieftaincy title by Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Ondo State.
A letter dated Monday September 13th 2021, and addressed to Olorogun Gbagi, the monarch disclosed that the Chieftaincy title would be conferred on the leading governorship hopeful during the UIefunta Festival, slated for October 9th 2021.
According to the reverred traditional ruler, Olorogun Gbagi, a former minister of education, a philanthropist cum an industrialist was picked in recognition of his role as a detribalized Nigerian who has contributed to the social, political and economic development in all geopolitical zones of the country.
"Of particular mention, is the interest you have shown and demonstrated in the overall development of the nation during your meritorious service as minister of the Federal Republic and your continuous zeal and will to serve your people".
The Deji of Akure Kingdom, revealed that Gbagi, a criminologist and security expert, was chosen as one of the distinguished Nigerian to be conferred with the chieftaincy title during the ceremony.
Hear him, "In my capacity as the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom and by extension the custodian of customs and culture of the Kingdom in Ondo State West Nigeria, I write to formally communicate the pleasure of my royalty to you, that you have been selected as one of the highly distinguished Nigerians to be conferred with a chieftaincy title during the above ceremony whose grand finale has been scheduled to hold on Saturday 9th October 2021.
"It is my fervent hope that you will see this conferment as a mark of honour and challenge to do more for Akure Kingdom and by extension, your fatherland", the respected monarch added.
