Kenneth Gbagi Displays Capacity as Governor 2023, Host Gov. Okowa, Former Governors, Justices, Traditional Rulers during thanksgiving of His Wife.


The PDP governorship aspirant, Delta State 2023, former Minister of education, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi graciously hosts the State governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Senator Delta South Senatorial District, James Manager and the state PDP party chairman, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso, on Sunday September 5, 2021.



Kenneth Gbagi who has invested much in the economic well-being of the state recieve dignitaries across globe to his county home, Oginibo, Ughelli South Local Government Area for a Special Thanksgiving Service, to celebrate Honourable Hon. Justice Sybil Gbagi, JCA, on her elevation as Justice of the Court of Appeal.




The occasion which seemed to be a unique political gathering, witnessed Gbagi's fellow political aspirants and supporters coming together with all excitement.



The former Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. Boni Haruna, Chief Judge of Delta, Justice Theresa Diai, former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Chairman of DC-23 Chief Ighoyota Amori. 




Other dignitaries including traditional rulers who graced the occasion includes the Managing Director, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC Askiah Ogieh, the king of Ughelli Kingdom, Oharisi III, the Ohworode, monarch of Olumu, the Orodje of Okpe, HRH Hon Justice Sidi Baje Mohammed, Justice of the Supreme Court (Rtd), Emir of Lafia and chairman Nasarawa State  ouncil of Chiefs, Hon Justice tijani abubakar JSC, Mr Mamman Usman (SAN), Justice modupe Nicol Clay, Justice serifat sotebo, Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo and Mrs. Lawal Akapo, Justice Okolosi, Hon. Justice Solojowere among guests who attended the thanksgiving service.



Governor Okowa durring the occasion said that women are going far, achieving greater heights to make the State proud. Governor Okowa also charged traditional rulers to encourage girl child education, congratulated Mrs. Gbagi for making Delta State proud.

Governor Okowa said, “We rejoice with you and your family because your elevation as judge of the Court of Appeal is a great feat and we thank God for this promotion.

“Our state is doing well in every aspect of governance and in the society because we have had a rich background of taking our sons and daughters to great heights"

“In Delta today, women occupy sensitive positions as Chief Judge of the state and President of the Customary Court of Appeal and now we have Justice Gbagi, another woman in the Court of Appeal".

“It is important that we begin to train our women so that they can continue to do well in life"



 Diocesan Bishop, Diocese of Lagos and Chief Missioner who presided over the religeous activities, Rt. Rev. Humphrey Bamisebi Olumakaiye, described Mrs Gbagi Symbil as honest, forthright, versatile and accomplished  woman.

Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi and his wife appreciated all dignitaries who honored them in their moment of thanksgiving to God.

Breaking: ASUU suspends 2-week warning strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. The union announced the suspension on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja. President of ASUU, Chris Piwuna, who read a prepared speech before newsmen, explained that the development followed intervention by the Senate and some other well-meaning Nigerians. However, he sad the National Executive Council of the Union resolved to give the government a one-month window to address all contending areas.
