Run for Governor in 2023 Delta Youths Urged Mulade Sheriff, Pledges Full Support

The Warri South-West Local Government Youth Executives led by Comrade Mandela Bomini has declared that Chief Mulade Sheriff will get the support of the youths in Warri South-West if he decides to run for the 2023 Governorship Election.

Speaking in Ughelli, on Tuesday, the Youth President also stated that Chief Mulade Sheriff will satisfy all deltans on the call and advocacy for the first and hopeful youthful Governor in Delta State ahead 2023 election.  

The entire Warri South West Youths and their Leaders are calling on Chief Mulade Sheriff, who is the Ibe-Sorimowei of ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom to contest after due consultations and assured him that the entire Youths in Delta State will vote for him without reservations because it's high time for deltans to have youths as their Gonernor come 2023."

The Warri South-West youth forum further stated that no Government Appointee amongs the PDP and APC has done half of what Comrade Mulade Sheriff has contributed for the people of Delta State in the area of Peace, Security, Sports and education.

The Youth President, Comrade Mandela Bomini also stated that Mulade is a stakeholder in Warri South-West political leadership, yet he was not given the needed recognition and appreciation in spite of his contribution, which have been a bad political practice owing to the fact that Mulade is a man who always speak the truth frankly to power.


The political fortunes of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Warri South-West Local Government Area in Delta State heads for hard times following plans of Chief Mulade Sheriff from the Party. 

Mulade who contested for the Warri South-West Constituency Member for Delta State House of Assembly election in 2019 is getting support from all in the state.


Bomini Urges Mulade to persist in his leadership focus and consultation before taking any decisions in regards to the governorship aspirations that is now the turn for the Ijaws and it was him that generate and launch Ijaw for Delta Governor since 2019..

Comrade Bomini stated that Mulade is a man of the grassroot and will get the support of the people. What happened in 2019 PDP primaries in Warri South-West house of Assembly Election was not election but dollars contest. The Youth President also called on all Youths in Delta State to come out enmass to vote for a vibrant and young aspirant that will give them a fair and equity Leadership ahead 2023 Governorship Election.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
