RE-Benins Warns Obaseki not to Cede Gelegele Seaport to Settlers, Your Statement is Irresponsible, Ijaw Youths Berate Benin Group

A Statement from Ijaw youths to Benin group says;

"Your Statement, watery, irresponsible, laughable, inciting,  poorly written  and Signed  by frustrated cowards says IYC  Western Zone"

"We have come across a malicious publication with the above  caption  credited to BSM and coalition of Benin Youth Groups which was  signed by some deluded merchants of confusion with zero level of integrity, who are bunch of Political apologist and ethnic bigot without any indept knowledge of history,  trying to pitch the governor against the respected Oba of Bini, because their stock in trade is to reap from every form of crisis regardless of the casualties from such crisis".

"It is worthy to note that the ijaw nation have never been conquered hence our resolve is to constantly leave  in peace with our niegbours which  should not be seen as an act of weakness.
Evidence abound that we have given the Edo State Government all the needed support and collaboration to make sure the seaport project comes to fruition despite the provocative statement from few misguided elements  who wants to take advantage of  crisis and confusion as a source of livelihood".

"For the records, the meeting which was well attended by most of the  impacted communities  was called at the instance of the Seaport committee Chairman Engr Greg Ogbeide to harmonizing all communities together, both Ijaws and the Binis for a smooth operation"

"We are very much aware that the peace and unity that emanated from the meeting between the Ijaw and Bini  Communities has  unsettled  BSM and its associate groups thinking that the meeting will end up in a scuffle" .

"However we wish to Reiterate that Engr Pius Donyegha is a bonafide indigene of Gelegele community and  has the mandate of the Gelegele people and the  ijaws at large, stating that the word Okao is alien to us as Ijaw people, and  anyone with such Title Cannot and will never Represent Gelegele community"

"We want to use this medium to urge the benin Traditional Council including The  Respected Oba of Benin to call these  misguided Persons to Order, in other not to set Two Great Nation's into communal and ethnic Crisis, as we have implicit Respect for the Benin ethnic Nationality and hence expect same From the Benins"

"We also wish to call on the security agencies and the state Government to as a matter of urgency investigate the Activities of these set of Scavengers  and unrepentant Merchants of Crisis in other not to Plunge the state into Crisis considering the Current fragile Security Situation of the State and   Country at large"

"Finally we wish to state unequivocally that the ijaws are Peace loving People and we shall Continue to Sue for  Peace, but we have no doubt in mind that we have the Capacity to Defend Ourselves, while Pledging our unwavering  Support  as a people to work Asidously  to make sure the Seaport Project is actualized and we want to use this opportunity to call  on all well meaning Ijaws  and Binis to Ignore this miscrants since the seaport is not for any particular tribe or individuals but for Edo people and Nigerians in general".
