Delta 2023: PDP Ward Leaders in Burutu to Mobilise Support for Gbagi, ....We Are One Family for Greater Delta.....Gbagi

Ward leaders from the Ijaw ethnic nationality in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Delta State on Wednesday pledged their full support for Chief Kenneth Gbagi's 2023 governorship ambition, promising to mobilise others to ensure his emergence as the party's Governorship candidate in 2023.


The group was led by PDP Ward Six leader, Bururtu Local government area Chief  Yusuf Eregbene, on a solidarity visit to the frontline Delta state Governorship Aspirant for the 2023 Governorship election.

Other ward leaders of the party from Burutu LGA who promised their support includes; Kebbi Oyakemeagha Ward 1 PDP Chairman Torugbene Bururtu LGA, 



Oduma Tamarapreye Ward 6 PDP Chairman  NDORO/ Ekognene Bururtu LGA and others.

Gbagi warmly received them at his Oginibo country home in Ughelli South local government area of Delta State, he (Gbagi) noted that he is more of an Ijaw man, calling on other Ijaws to partner with him as one big family to ensure greater Delta state come 2023.

The various ward leaders pledged their unalloyed support for his 2023 governorship election.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
