2023: Gbagi's Popularity Soars as Delta Central Youths, Transporters Gives Open Endorsement

Commercial motorcycle operators in Delta State popularly known as 'Okada riders, youths from Delta central and Bururtu Local Government Areas happily stormed the country home of the frontline 2023 Delta State governorship aspirant Chief Kenneth Gbagi to plead with the Peoples' Democrats Party PDP to give Gbagi the party ticket for greater Delta State.


The mammoth crowd was on Monday led by member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers led by Lawrence Usemoney to afirm their unwevering support for Chief Gbagi in his country home, Oginibo Ughelli South Local government Area, Delta State.

The youths afiremed that Chief Kenneth Gbagi has been adopted as the preferred governorship candidate come 2023. They said that their decission to endorse him was informed by the numerous support they have gotten from Gbagi when ever he is called upon.


Gbagi however said that he will ensure gainful employment for the youths by creating  opportunity for them to provide security in the state.

He also commended the state governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who is constructing roads in propagation for industries  to flurish in the state when he comes onbord in 2023.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
