Chief Okpako Urges Natives Of Arhavwarien, Ewu, Okparabe  To Support  Edijala

By : Akpovoke Otiti

A London based, business Mogul, Chief Pius Okpako has charged all Ewu Axis  natives and the entire Urhobo  kingdoms to muster support for Immanuel  Edijala’s gubernatorial ambition and ensure his emergence as the Governor, come 2023.

Okpako  who described Ewu - Axis  which is located in the south- South Nigeria as the cradle of Urhobo  culture, civilization and the origin of Urhobo nation, urged the people of the area to come out enmass and cast their  votes for Edijala  and PRP.

The London based philanthropist  made the plea in an open letter written to the natives of Ewu - Axis people both at home and in Diaspora on the need to vote the PRP and its gubernatorial  candidate in the coming general elections.

Okpako who stated in his letter that he is a grassroots political mobiliser, in the open letter affirmed that he  will come down from the UK and as an Urhobo  man who is well connected to his people, mobilizing for Edijala will not be a difficult task.

He said, “Immanuel Edijala  may come from Okparabe  Kingdom, yet he is an Urhobo  Man and very well connected to all tribes in Delta State. He may be a member of People's Redemption Party  PRP yet he is an Urhobo  man. Who is that  Urhobo person that is not connected to other tribes? Okparabe clan remains one of the kingdoms in Urhobo  land and that fact must be respected.

“Today, Edijala  our kinsman is seeking the support of Deltans  even though he is contesting against other Urhobo sons, he must be given first priority by our people before political considerations are made. Will Ewu Axis  his home deny their son the much needed support come 2023? God forbid.

“To all my brothers and sisters whereever you are and especially in Ughelli/Udu federal constituency, the whole world is watching, and the whole nation is waiting for what will come out of Ewu Axis  as votes. So, I urge our people to come out in numbers to give Edijala the desired landslide victory he deserves"
