2022 Ijaw/Itsekiri Peace, Unity Football  Tournament End in Grand Style as Kolokolo CFC Wins 


The 2022 edition of the most popular Ijaw/Itsekiri Peace and Unity football cup competition also known as Comrade Mulade Sheriff Peace, Unity Cup finally came to a very exciting end with Kolokolo CFC beating Kurutie CFC

This came durring a penalty shoot-out after the main game lingered with 1-1 draw on Saturday December 3rd, 2022 in Ugborodo  Township Stadium, Escravos, Warri South-West LGA, Delta State

Mulade who is the chief host gave glory to God Almighty for a successful football tournament, congratulating the four teams, Oboro CFC and Ogbe-Ijoh CFC for making it to the Semi-finals while Kolokolo CFC and Kurutie CFC made it to the Finals.
Recall that the poupose of this tournament is to promote contentious peace and unity to Ijaw and Itsekiri in the three Warri LGA's

Mulade further Said that: "Ijaw and itsekeri's are the brain behind the growth Delta State and the  Nigeria
economy at large, and if peace is not in the cycle of both ethnic group it will really affect the state, in this input the government should always make sure that vthere is development in this areas".

NMU Governing Council chairman seeks solutions to challenges facing varsity The Acting Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State,  Adewale Adeogun, has appealed for immediate action to address the pressing challenges facing the institution.   Adeogun, who spoke during the council meeting  in Warri, expressed deep concern over the university’s underdevelopment despite its six-year existence. Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
