Gbagi Donates Cash to Renovate Dilapidated Government School in Delta Community

Delta State Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi has donated cash to Egbo-Uhurie Community for the renovation of the Egbo Grammar School building in Egbo-Uhurie Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area.

President general of the community, Comrade Ibru Egbe confirmed this on Thursday, stating that; Gbagi has also redeemed his promise of donating Cash to women, youths, and elderly people of the Community as part of his support for them.

The community leaders had before now, expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of the grammar school when Gbagi paid a consultative visit to the community as a Governorship Candidate of SDP.

Stating their needs, the community leaders lamented the dilapidated state of their Secondary school, stating that; students were asked to return home without learning whenever it rains. They added that urgent repairs to the leaking roof were needed.

According to the president general,  "The contribution made by Gbagi has been used to purchase materials to commence renovation of the roofs, we appreciate Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi for coming to our rescue. 

"However, the attention of the State Government is still needed for a complete renovation of the classrooms and other parts of the structures".

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
