Gbagi illuminates SDP In Delta, Says Central Chairman, Dugbo
The leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Delta State, has described the governorship candidate of the party in the March 18 2023 election in the State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, FNIM, OON as a thorough breed politician who brought the party to limelight.

This is coming on the heels of news making the rounds that the former minister of state for education, demarketed the party.

Addressing journalists at the party's Central Secretariat in Warri, the Delta Central Senatorial Vice Chairman, Comrade Mike Dugbo, said the renowned Criminologist is a technocrat with a vast experience.

He said the biggest employer of labour in the State, is the best thing to have happened to the party in the State, saying Gbagi is a "highly respected, humble and humane politician who dine with the high and low in the society".

The Central Chairman described the report as malicious, coming from unscrupulous elements who do not have any political value and relevance rather looking for opportunities to grab into their private pockets.

According to Comrade Dugbo, the report is a malicious roar of some uncultured and mannerless individual, claiming to be members and proxy Excos of SDP in  Delta State.

He disclosed that these same people without character and integrity, have in time past been suspended by the National leadership for lack of respect to constituted party authority.

He further described the report as a misplace priority, malicious and last fight of a failed people who lacks vision for the party.

He stressed that these were borne out of greed the then SDP in the State was know of under the present State and LGA leadership of the party in the State.

He bemoaned the "milk him dey attitude", "pull him down syndrome"   and he goes nowhere" stomach infrastructure, they are known for, adding "Let us come together and work in oneness to claim the State".

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
