Visit To Osibanjo: 'You don't need to apologise', Aisha Encourages Taaooma

Activist, Aisha Yesufu, has asked skit maker, Apaokagi Maryam, popularly known as Taaooma, not to apologize for her visit to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in the statehouse. Taaooma and some skit makers during the week were at the statehouse on a courtesy visit to the Vice President.

Their visit generated many reactions. Most Nigerian youths felt they shouldn't have accepted the invitation from the Vice President. Activist Rinu Oduala even went on Twitter to drag Taaooma over the visit.

Taaooma afterwards tendered a public apology. She stated that she was able to discuss the issues Nigerian youths would want to speak about to the government during the visit.

Activist Aisha Yesufu has now weighed in. She stated that Taaooma shouldn't apologise if her intentions for the visit were right. Read what she wrote below.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
