Hunter Hacks 60 Year Old Man To Death For Setting Traps
A 60-year-old man, simply identified as Emmanuel, has been hacked to death by a hunter for refusing to stop setting traps in his (hunter) farm for games.
The hunter, identified as Akporuaro Monday, allegedly hacked Emmanuel to death at Orogun community of Delta State.
The suspected murderer was said to have earlier warned the deceased through his son to stop setting traps for games in his territory, but he refused.
Things went haywire on October 30, 2021, when the suspect allegedly killed the deceased and thereafter fled the area to evade possible arrest.
However, he was forced to return and reported to the police station that he murdered the victim and not his son hence his son should be released.
The IPO was alleged to have been convincing the family to accept settlement against the ethics and laws of the Nigerian Police Force. The family of the victim wants nothing, but justice.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bright Edafe, confirmed on Thursday, that no fewer than three suspects had been arrested in connection to the murder.
