Amori, DC-23 Dares Kenneth Gbagi, Plots Removal of Urhobo Aspirants for Edevbie Delta Governorship ambition

As the saying goes; a scorpion will never stop stinging, and the leopard will never change its skin, so is Chief Amori.

Chief Ighoyota Amori who was a two times commissioner in Delta state under the administration of Chief James Ibori and later loss out of the Delta central power caucus as a result of the emergence of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan as Ibori's successor has recently relaunched himself into the Urhobo nation power brokers with the formation of his pressure group known as DC-23.

When he formed the group political pundits have predicted the intentions and destination of this group.

The group recently inaugurated a thirteen-man screening committee to screen the aspirants from the Delta central senatorial zone with the aim of coming out with a sole candidate for the Urhobo nation at the PDP governorship primary election.

It was reported that the group did not consult widely before coming out with the list of the members of this committee.

Our source revealed that the recent move by the leadership of the group is to screen out a foremost and widely consulted aspirant on the false ground of age, while it is loyalty.

They said, Chief Gbagi is super wealthy and widely connected to who is who within and outside the country, therefore will not be loyal to Amori and Ibori if he becomes the governor of the state.

The following aspirants will be screened out in the first phase of screening; Esievo Abel, Ejaife Odebala, Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, Kenneth Okpara, Festus Ovie Agas, Efe Ofobruku, Bright Edejegwhro, Akpo Ofomona and Fred Majemite. While Peter Mrakpor and James Augoye will be screened out in the second phase, to remain Kenneth Gbagi, Sheriff Oborevwori and David Edevbie.

It was gathered that Kenneth Gbagi will destroy the mission of DC-23 should he be screened out in the first and second phases alongside the other Lightweight and Featherweight aspirants, therefore, he should be given hope by keeping him till few hours to the last hour so that he will have no choice than to accept his fate and their decision to support their perceived messiah.

According to our source, the leadership of DC-23 said that Kenneth Gbagi will not be loyal to any of them if he eventually pick the ticket of the PDP; therefore, they must stop him at all cost.

Apart from being loyal to Amori and Chief James Ibori, it was said that the face-off between Chief Ibori and Gbagi during the crises in Warri, when Gbagi reported him (Ibori) to President Obasanjo is another factor been used against Chief Gbagi.

Screening of Urhobo aspirants supposed to be the primary responsibility of the UPU, while that of the PDP Delta central should be left for the party. But Amori and clique have hijacked that role from the Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) and the Delta Central PDP.

One wonders who the UPU and PDP Delta Central will screen after Amori's DC-23 might have finished screening these aspirants and thrown those called chaffs away after spending fortunes to be favoured.

It will be very shameful seeing these men thrown out of a contest by a fellow Urhobo man who is not empowered by the PDP or Urhobo nation to act on their behalf.

Urhobo aspirants should wake up from their forced political sleeping now before it will be late. Some of the aspirants are their boys they want to use to make up numbers in order to deceive the serious-minded aspirants.

DC-23 is the canoe they want to use in ferrying David Edevbie to PDP governorship primary election as Urhobo nation sole candidate.

Deltans be wise, they are coming again to steal, kill and destroy what is left for the future of our children and children children.
