Delta 2023 Governorship: Only One Aspirant amongst many, See Result of Quality Consultations

Delta 2023 Governorship: Only One Aspirant amongst many, See Result of Quality Consultations

The Gbagi Solidarity Movement (GSM) has declared that there is only one 2023 Governorship aspirant in Delta State.

Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi is the only Aspirant who has consulted qualitatively and widely.

Deltans could attest to the fact that Gbagi is the man with the political clout in the front line to emerge as a candidate of the People's Democratic Party for the 2023  Governorship Election.

Struggling to succeed Governor Okowa at the end of his tenure, several candidates have emerged, aspiring for the Governorship position come 2023.

However, the Gbagi Solidarity Movement has stated that it is worthy of note that majority of the abounding aspirants could hardly be said to have made the necessary  consultations to the party and  stakeholders in the state.

For instance, the Pressure Group, Delta Central 2023 (DC-23), originally created to project an Urhobo candidate has turned to jamboree as they have put together names of political jobbers as Delta Central governorship aspirants to make up numbers.

In fact, rather than looking for a viable aspirant that could deliver on the expectations of Deltans, DC-23 has resorted to accommodating all comers who sees governorship race as a political commerce and these jobbers sees DC-23 as a mediator who will deliver gratification for stepping down.

It is worthy to note that most of the aspirants including Chief Abel Esievo, Olorogun David Edevbie, Chief Ejaife Odebala, Chief James Augoye, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, Chief Kenneth Okpara, Chief Fred Majemite, Hon. Efe Ofobruku, Chief Bright Edejegwhro, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Evang. Akpo Ofomona and Peter Mrakpor Esq. have not made any notable consultation to critical stakeholders across Delta State.

However, there is only one aspirant, Chief Kenneth Gbagi, who has meritoriously met the requirements, perequisite and criteria for the Governorship race. The others have not. They have not consulted stakeholders, traditional rulers, institutions. Most of them are errand boys recruited to make up numbers of Aspirants looking for settlement.

There is only one aspirant with character and integrity with no track record of corruption; with capacity outside government renumerations, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, who has consulted far and wide.

Beginning from 2015, the lawyer and criminologist has consultated all necessary stakeholders in the State and beyond, laying bare his Governorship ambition.

As respect and recognition for the peoples Democratic Party, PDP Gbagi, former Minister of Education (State) paid a consultation visit to the Delta State chairman of the  Party, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso at Sapele. Here, Gbagi was assured that the next candidate of the party will emerge through a free and fair primary election.

Gbagi and his team on the 8th December, 2020 also consulted the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo on his Governorship aspiration. The meeting which held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, saw Gbagi declaring that he intends to partner with  the youths in the state, stating that he has a data base of what it takes to win election in the state.

The amiable Barrister also consulted with the royalties and people of Ughievwen in September, 2021 where he got support from his people.

In addition to that, the Ijaws  have endorsed Gbagi after his consultations with all the Ijaw traditional rulers and the Delta State Traditional Rulers council.

Now who has the political jobbers consulted?  Social media politics have no place with reality of governing Delta State. Governorship is not a business arrangement for pretenders. Deltans must be wise, PDP should read between the lines and settle for the Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi.
