Ban on open grazing: Police reveal those behind threats to attack Delta state

The police in Delta state have dismissed the threat by a group to attack parts of the state. The police advised Deltans to go about their lawful activities.

Delta state police command in his reaction to an ultimatum issued by a group over the ban on open grazing in Southern Nigeria stated. The spokesperson for the command, Bright Edafe
disclosed that measures are in  place to safeguard residents of the state. The police suggested that the threats by the faceless group were intended to cause panic among residents of the state.

Breaking: ASUU suspends 2-week warning strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. The union announced the suspension on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja. President of ASUU, Chris Piwuna, who read a prepared speech before newsmen, explained that the development followed intervention by the Senate and some other well-meaning Nigerians.
