Delta Assembly SDP Candidate, Temienor Promises Quality Representation of Ughelli South, Boost Electricity Supply

Ughelli — Ahead of 2023 general election, The Social Democratic Party, SDP Candidate for Ughelli South constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Temienor Oghenekevwe, has promised to ameliorate the suffering of his people by impacting on their lives positively.

The candidate made the promise yesterday, in a statement at Eyara Community, Ughieven Kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area, in preparation for the homecoming celebration of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi on Saturday, August 13th.

As parts of his agenda, Temienor promised to ensure that every Community in Ughelli South Gets at least 300KVA additional transformers to boost power supply to the communities.

Temienor Oghenekevwe further assured constituents that; more infrastructural projects, youth empowerment programmes, job opportunities, among others, would be facilitated to the communities if given the mandate to represent them.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
