Surveillance Contract: SDP DTHA Candidate, Temienor Oghenekevwe Congratulates Tompolo


Young candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, who hails from Eyara Community, Ughieven Kingdom, Ughelli South LGA, Delta State, Prince Temienor Oghenekevwe has congratulated the foremost Niger Delta former freedom fighter, High Chief Government Oweizide Ek­pemupolo (aka Tompolo) on his pipeline security surveil­lance contract awarded to him by the Federal Govern­ment.

Temienor, in his message made available to FocalPoint Reports on wedesday, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the right decision, saying that nobody can protect the pipe­lines better than Tompolo who understands the area. 

He further maintained that the foremost Niger Delta activist had the capacity and ability to effectively safeguard the oil pipelines across the re­gion.

According to Temienor, awarding of the surveillance contract to ‘GOC of the Niger Delta’ was a welcomed development that is worth celebrating.

Temienor Oghenekevwe also Congratulates the entire Ijaw nation stating that; "Tompolo has done alot for the common good and for the betterment of Delta State.”

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
