Manager, Mutu, Others advice Angadi to leave indelible mark in office


Manager who spoke to journalist at Bomadi shortly after Mr. Sylvester Odogbo, the returning officer of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC local government polls declared the Bomadi Council result, urged specifical the Chairman elect who is elected for second term to write his name in gold before he leaves office in 2024.

The Senator who was highly excited over the landslide victory of the People’s Democratic Party’s victory at the Local Government polls that stressed that the LG polls was a build up for the general election in 2023 and urged members of the party to remain firm.

Also, Mr Nicholas Mutu , member Representing Bomadi /Patani Federal Constituency in the National Assembly thanked and congratulated the Chairman elect Mr. Angadi, his vice Chairman Chief Mrs Flora Biripu and the 20 elected councillors tasking them on better service delivery to the people.

Mutu Commended DSIEC for conducting a fare and credible Council polls noting those in opposition party could also testify the unbiased conduct of the LG polls by DSIEC.

The chairman elect Mr Angadi who was feel with joy thanked God, the leadership of the party and the entire people of the Bomadi Council Area for their support pledging to run all inclusive administration and to focus on area he didn’t do better on his first term.

The Bomadi PDP LG poll campaign Director General Mr. David Ekereokosu thanked God and the people for reposing confidence on the party and re-electing Angadi.

He held that the strategic campaign which the party at the local government area adopted paid off thanking the people for their unalloyed support for the party.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
