A frontline Governorships Aspirant for the 2023 Delta State, Chief Kenneth Gbagi said Nigeria is on fire because of Journalist who reports for monetary gains.

Responding to questions from Journalist in Asaba on Wednesday, Gbagi noted that some Journalist left their God-Given Job of purifying society and took the wrong path of praising politicians with questionable characters.

He insisted that journalist suppose to be objective in their reportage by exposing persons questionable characters.

He further noted that fair and truthful reportage can stop persons with a poor record of integrity from contesting political offices in the country.

He expressed displeasure that Criminals are ahead of everybody in the country and that is not good.

He assured Deltan's that in 2023, there will be a robust economy and industrial presence in Delta state.

He commended Governor Okowa for the facelift and Infrastructural development in Asaba.

Breaking: ASUU suspends 2-week warning strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. The union announced the suspension on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja. President of ASUU, Chris Piwuna, who read a prepared speech before newsmen, explained that the development followed intervention by the Senate and some other well-meaning Nigerians. However, he sad the National Executive Council of the Union resolved to give the government a one-month window to address all contending areas.
