Internal Crisis Rocks
Delta CDHR, interim Committee Takes Over as Uvwie Unit Dissolve Exco's

Internal wrangling has divided members of the Delta state chapter of the Committee for the Defence of Human Right, CDHR.

The situation was made public in a publication which claimed that the National Vice President, Comrade Kehinde Taiga has been suspended over alleged indiscipline. However Comrade Kehinde Taiga described the suspension as illegal.

The development also reared its ugly head in one of the most vibrant unit of CDHR, the Uvwie unit at the weekend, members converged at the Unit Secretariat, Uvwie LGA Delta State, for the unit's election.

Fortunately and unfortunately the election did not hold as expected, this came as  excos of the Uvwie unit was dissolved and interim committee was appointed.

The outgoing unit coordinator, Comr. Lucky  Emubejere challenged some members of the unit who purportedly made a written protest over the suspension of some executives at the state and national level by the national body, in a related development the matter was channeled to the national for resolution.

FocalPoint gathered that the organization's interim state chairman (Comrade) Godwin Umuko who was thought would supervise the election opened up another twist, setting the needful in place when he said that the election cannot hold as planned as the interim committee appointed by the national will come up with the electoral guidelines.

However, an Interim committee was constituted to manage the affairs of the unit in preparation for the Units election, Members appointed are Comrade Bon Ignatius, Avbioroko Ceaser and Success Benjamin respectively.
