Move to improve Electricity supply in Delta communities

_By Comr. Ezekiel Kagbala_

The Uvwie unit of the committee for the Defence of Human Right, CDHR, has unanimously agreed to elect new leadership on Friday 14th, August 2020.

This was made known during the monthly meeting held yesterday, 8th August 2020 at the secretariat, Uti Effurun Delta State.

The meeting which was presided over by the coordinator of the Unit, Comrade Lucky Emibejere gave room to members to recount their accomplishments that have benefited the society specifically the issue of improving the supply of electricity to the Uvwie people and other Delta communities by the Benin Edo Distribution Company BEDC.

The tone and tempo of the meeting were recharged as the issue of electing new executives was raised by one of the members who was systematically observing the coordinator's position with interest, based on the salient issues he raised.

The house, however, drifted into circumspection of rancorous debate and show of activism spirit.

The house, however, regained its unanimity after a resolution to fix election day, followed by deceleration of interest for the various positions, the sitting coordinator also indicates interest to contest the position again.

The meeting ended peacefully to the satisfaction of all members with solidarity songs.
