Kunukunuma Residents Draws Okowa's attention Over Neglect, Underdevelopment.

Residents of Kunukunuma community in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta state, have drawn the attention of the Federal and State Government to what they have described as developmental neglect by the state government since 2015.

The community chairman of KunuKunuma community, Chief Moses Bebenimibor who briefed newsman in Warri on behalf of his people noted that Kunukunuma desperately need Water, Healthcare Roads and Electricity.

He noted that they want to be optimistic that governor Ifeanyi Okowa/ Deputy governor Barr. Kingsley Otuaro second tenure victory would  bring the needed infrastructural development and basic amenities to Kunukunuma adding that their unflinching support with block votes delivered during the last gubernatorial elections contributed to governor Okowa electoral victory in the 2019 polls.

Lamenting their predicament as neglected community he said "Our community is painfully backward lacking government presence. We are beginning governor Okowa to cite basic project such as Water, Health center, Road electricity in Kunukunuma community".






He further noted that governor Okowa have projects in some of the coastal communities but in Kunukunuma, there is nothing to show since 2015 till date. He added that erosion threatens their community, calling on the state government to build a shoreline protection.

Chief moses further urged governor Okowa to ensure that dividend of democracy is enjoyed by those who defy opposition and gave him the votes that made victorious

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
