IJAW COMMUNITY, AGBODOBIRI BEGS FOR HELP AS FLOOD RAVAGES COMMUNITY

Delta community, Agbodobiri, Burutu Local government area, has been ravaged with flood, over 100 families are yet to access relieve and nearest camp for internally displaced persons.

The community youth leader, Comrade Tamaratare Igew lamented that Agbodobiri, the headquarters of Ugbolubiri Kingdom has been neglected by the state and local government for many years, adding that the community is an oil impacted community and deserves government attention at all level.

Igwe further noted that they expect the Delta State government, Burutu Local government, and relevant stake holders to provide temporary accommodation for those displaced by ravaging flood in communities around Burutu Local government area.

A statement from one of the community youth, King Edoh revealed that Agbodobiri people needs foodstuffs, toiletries, mattresses, mosquito nets, among others.
