CRESAN Takes Renewable Energy Campaign to Oleh, Presents Advisory Council Form to Monarch
As part of its nationwide campaign to promote sustainable energy awareness and safety, Clean Renewable Energy and Safety Advocacy of Nigeria (CRESAN) has extended its grassroots environmental outreach to Oleh Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Non Governmental Organization,also seized the opportunity to officially present the Royal Highness Advisory Council Form to the Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Anthony Williams Ovrawah, Omogha1 signifying its commitment to working closely with traditional institutions in advancing renewable energy initiatives.
The campaign, held at the palace of the Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom, drew participation from Chiefs, Local Leaders, Youths, Women, community stakeholders and students, all eager to learn about safer energy solutions. Community members were educated on the dangers of fossil fuels and improper energy use, including the risks associated with generator fumes and unregulated electrical installations.

Clean Renewable Energy / safety Advocacy of Nigeria( Cresan) in his address stated that the sensitization programme was aimed at educating residents on the benefits of clean, renewable energy and the dangers associated with unsafe energy practices.
Akpotoboro Oghenemaro engaged residents on the critical role of renewable energy in mitigating climate change, improving health outcomes, and enhancing economic development through sustainable power sources.
According to him, "Climate change has come and it is real. Therefore rural and semi-urban communities like Oleh must not be left behind in the national transition to clean energy systems. So far we have visited Ozoro in Isoko North Local Government Area, Udu Local Government Area and we are here in Isoko South Local Government Area today to reiterate the organisation's
committed to deepening engagement with rural communities and forging strategic alliances that will accelerate the adoption of renewable energy solutions nationwide.
"CRESAN is a duly registered nonprofit organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria and a recognized member of the Global Waste Cleaning Network (GWCN), headquartered in the United Kingdom.

Through grassroots engagement, policy dialogue, and community-driven initiatives, we empower people and influence policies that ensure a cleaner, safer, and more energy-secure future.
While presenting the Royal Highness Advisory Council Form to the Oleh Monarch, Akpotoboro Oghenemaro stated that "the Royal Highness Advisory Council form seeks to enlist the support of traditional rulers across the country in championing the cause of renewable energy, climate action, and public safety. The Advisory Council will serve as a bridge between traditional authority and clean energy advocacy, ensuring that community voices are heard in shaping Nigeria’s energy future. And the advisory council aims to integrate traditional rulers into environmental and energy advocacy, ensuring that cultural leaders play an active role in policy influence, community mobilization, and local project implementation.
Receiving the document, the Odiologbo of Oleh Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Anthony Williams Ovrawah, Omogha1 commended CRESAN for its foresight and expressed readiness to work with the group in mobilising grassroots support.

In another development, CRESAN in a bid to reduce environmental hazards, promote better Water Sanaitation and hygiene visited schools in Delta Central and South. Some of the primary schools visited are OKPAKA PRIMARY SCHOOL, OPETE PRIMARY SCHOOL, OMIERE PRIMARY SCHOOL, ORHUWHORUN, OVWIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL, OVWIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL, ETAKO PRIMARY SCHOOL, OVWIAN, EKETE PRIMARY SCHOOL I, EKETE INLAND, UWAJORHOR PRIMARY SCHOOL III, EKETE INLAND, Amawhe Primary School Ozoro,
"We discovered that most of the primary schools faced similar issues like insecurity (School not fenced), No Water supply, No Toilet facilities, Water logged vicinity, Indiscriminate dumping of refuse, Leaking proofs, Some Pupils don't have money to buy writing materials and School Uniforms.
"We will reach out to our partners so as to make provision for clean, drinkable water and toilet facilities for the schools visited. We can use this as a base to get young advocates in the primary/secondary and tertiary institution who are lovers of sustainability, climate adaptation, waste management and all that. " He said
