DTHA 2023: We Count on your Experience To Manage Ughelli South, Ward Leaders Unite for Solomon Ala

 
Delta State House of Assembly aspirant for Ughelli South constituency on the platform of the People's Democratic Party PDP Elder Dr. Solomon Ala has been assured of complete support from leaders of the ward.

This came on Thursday, May 5th, durring his Consultative engagements with the Eleven Ward Chairmen led by the Chairman of all Chairmen, Comrade Andy Idolor
And the vice chairman Comrade. Apostle Apoi, PRO, Comr. Victor Idolor and host of other ward Chairmen.

The leading aspirat in the meeting assured his constituents of effective representation if given the mandate come 2023 general election. 

The party leaders who were united in one voice commend Solomon Ala for engaging party leadership at the Ward level.

 In his statement, the PDP Ewu ward 1 Chairman, Hon. Precious Ejemake, Said that, 'We know that you Ala will display maturity, experience and knowledge of you are elected to represent the people of Ughelli South, You are humble, approachable and accessable, you are not the type that will be intoxicated with position and power".

 The Ward Chairmen who speak unanimously hinted that they count Ala's experience to manage Ughelli South Constituency.

The Ewu ward three Chairman, Comr. Alex Idiaphoro promised to mobilize others to work with Chief Ala on the ground that he will depoloy his wealth of experience into the position of leading Ughelli South people.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
