Atiku Appreciates Tambuwal for Stepping Down to Backing Him

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has thanked Sokoto Governor Aminu Tambuwal for withdrawing from the race.

Atiku, in a terse tweet, said he looked forward to working with Tambuwal.

Tambuwal withdrew from the race, and urged his supporters among the delegates to vote for Atiku.

As of the time of filing this report, final accreditation of delegates has commenced at the MKO Abiola Stadium, venue of the PDP presidential primaries.

No fewer than 767 delegates would decide the fate of the presidential aspirants jostling for the ticket of PDP.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
