 2023: Ughelli South to Produce Delta Governor, How Party Leaders Adopt Gbagi as Best Option For Deltans

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, adopt Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, frontline Governorship Aspirant for the 2023 Governorship primary election.

They stated clearly that; Ughelli South produce the next governor come 2023, as they promised to work with Kenneth Gbagi to emerge.

This was made known during a meeting of PDP executives, Ward Chairmen and stakeholders on with Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi in his Oginibo country home, Ughelli South. 

They collectively commended the former Minister of Education Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi for creating a forum to enable them Rob minds, lay bare their grievance and talk about how Ughelli South aspirants can come together for the 2023 governorship race.

The  Ughelli South, Effurotor Ward PDP, LGA Secretary, Comrade  Ivwromomena commended Gbagi for his leadership roles, he said,  "Allot of persons are left out, the leaders don't care about us till election periods, the issue is that those in the apex level of the party does not have any regular meeting".

Other Party faithful who appreciated Gbagi, Hon. Comr Omogosibo Benjamin, PDP Ughelli South Ward 10 Chairman said that; Gbagi is the first aspirant to bring party faithfuls together Ughelli South. Adding that Gbagi has done a lot, it is our duty to support him and appealed to him to forgave all who have spoken wrongly about him in ignorance.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
