2023: Gbagi Is the only Aspirant That Will Rescue Delta From It's Pitiable State___Wayles





The 2023 Delta State governorship ambition of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi has gained more prominence and support as prominent marine industrialist, High Chief Emonena Victor Wayles Egukawhore has thrown his weight behind the aspiration of Gbagi to govern Delta State. 

He said Gbagi is a known Industrialist who can bring back businesses and Industries to the State.

Wayles gave his support to Gbagi on Thursday 24th March 2022 at the ancient town of  Okpolo (Enhwe), Isoko South LGA, durring a consultative visit and a call for partnership to elevate the economic fortunes of Delta State.

High Chief Wayles Egukawhore who recieved the frontline gubernatorial hopeful at his luxury country home said: "Gbagi is a highly respected Chief and a hard working Industrialist".

In his response; Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi said, "I can uplift the economic fortunes of the State for Business to flourish and thrieve productivity.

"We need to change the economic fortune of Delta State to something greater. This is our home and our state. Just as all we have in Nigeria got dwindled and destroyed. Today the Dollar is high and it is affecting the economy"

"One wrong choice will be dangerous, children are growing up and provision must be made to put food on their tables to avoid what seemed like the EndSars protest"

"Every right thinking person will fight and correct the wrongs. We are in a state of calamity, in our Rivers, Sapele, Koko Warri and other places , there is vitually nothing happening any more, Sapele flour meal is gone, Industries are gone, our situation is getting worse. Unless we do what is right, we will be responsible for the wrongs. 

If our decisions take the State backward, business men and women are the ones to suffer, We don't have another state let us redeem Delta"

In response, to Gbagi,  Wayles said that, "What you are doing is not for your generation alone, you are doing it for all". He said

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship.
