Overcomers Christian Center Intl Host Back To School Students Support Program In Delta State.

Ovwian, DSC Township & Aladja communities in  Delta State were agog with joy as Overcomers Christian Center Intl host their Wards to  to the Church annual program tagged Back to School Students Support Program. 

Present at the occasion include Mrs Ebi Osuobeni, a board  member of School of Health Ufuoma, Fmr PA to NDDC Commissioner, Delta State, Engr, Doubrado Isuosuo, Chief Inspector of Education Ethiope-East Dr Christy Okerie and a host of students parents & guardians.

The Host Clergy, Pst Oreva Peter Idudhe, said

“this event is one of the social responsibilities of the church to her immediate communities to showcase the love of Jesus in giving and also a partnership with  the state  & Federal government to alleviate poverty and also to support less privilege & indigent students as school resumes."

 Pst Oreva Idudhe  an educationist, had said  that “from empirical studies, it's a shocking realization that scores of students resume school without notebooks & basic learning materials which has underscores the high level of poverty & deprivation in the land".

He futher said “This year the church has given out learning materials from Pre- Kg to Senior secondary schools were given out freely which includes, pack of notebooks, biro, tissue, drawing books, crayons, mathematical set, watercans among others. 

He also said“ this year the church has given out of Scholarship to an orphan & a fatherless child, miss Clara Omoaworiowho  & miss Ogheneruno Ufuoma Oba respectively.”

The recipients whose joy knew no bound thank the church & promised to utilize this great offer & will put in their best in their education

In her profound message the guest speaker.

Dr. Christy Okerie the Chief Inspector of Education, Ethiope-East Local Government, admonished parents  to put their ward education foremost because it is  only through education that their Wards can achieve excellence in life. She  frowned at parents who spend so much on personal pleasure at the expense of their children education that they are hipping judgement on themselves if thier wards are set back in education.

The General Overseer  Apostle Emmanuel  &  Pst Joy Azaka who personally tagged this program “practical ministry" also gave big Kudos to the resident pastor & his dear wife Pst Gloria Erhieyovwe Idudhe and  all members of the Home of Abundance for this great initiative  and praying that next year back to school program with be better  & greater. 

In conclusion Pst Oreva Idudhe thank  as many that supported & donated sacrificially in cash & kind to make this project a bountiful success. Appreciation  in this regard go to  the very highly esteemed Dr. Chuks & Dr (Mrs)Angela Godwin-Osborn of  Abbaslove Intl Church, Texas who  opined that the church can be the light & a pacesetter and giving in this direction  with the love of Christ in view is the only language the world can understand. 

Pastor Oreva also appreciated greatly the management of  Axxon Energy, Freda Fantasy Cake shop, Wilben Collections, Chicago based Evang Isoken Aideyan-Ogbomo & all Overcomers Christian Centre intl members  that contributed in cash & kind in making this program a huge success. Woman Burned to Death, Accused of Kidnapping 7yrs Old Boy in Delta

By Tessy ogbemi An angry mob set ablaze a woman accused in a failed child kidnapping attempt in Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.  The incident happened on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.  An eyewitness disclosed at the scene of the incident at Ekwvere Road claimed that the woman hid the seven year old boy she allegedly abducted in a sack, adding that she was even carrying a Bible on one hand.  Community sources said some residents in the area accosted the lady when they observed the way she was dragging the sack, to know what she had in it.  "She was unstable when they asked her to disclose what she was carrying in the sack. When the bag was forced open, they found a seven year old child in it.
