FORMER PRESIDENTS, OBASENJO, PDP MEMBERS, PART OF NDE AS GROUP INAUGURATES DELTA STATE CHAPTER 



Majority of Nigerian former presidents including Chief Olusegun Obasanjo are members of a non governmental organization, Nigeria Democratic Evolution (NDE), FocalPoint Reports gathered that members of the NGO are predominantly made up of those in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The group inaugurated its executive members, State and local government executives to pilot affairs of the group in Delta State, the inauguration was done in Warri yesterday, just three days to the 2019 general elections. The NGO also nominated and admits new members before the official inauguration of the executive members.

The State National coordinator, Comrade Agbor Ebipade who also is a special assistant to the governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on youth mobilisation, while inaugurating the state and local government executives of the group urged them to work diligently for growth of the organization in Delta State, adding that there are numerous benefits of being part of the process and activities of NDE.

Comr. Ebipade in his opening remarks said "NDE  is one among the fastest growing political organization around the World, the organization is built on the foundation of carrying its members to their desired political destination and positions including government appointments. The Organization is made up of prominent and notable Nigerians, former Nigerian presidents including Chief Olusengu Obasanjo who is a cofounder and national adviser".

The newly inaugurated executive members includes Mr Azikiwe Roland, State coordinator, Mr Samson Ogei deputy coordinator, Comr Rex Omahwovo Okiemute, Secretary Delta central,  Mr. Lords on Ngwzor secretary North
Mrs. Doreen Bozimor Woman leader South, Mrs. Okpakpo Oyibodoro Treasurer, Mr Godwin Kwanu youth leader, Mr Felix Ehinze Protocol officer, Comrade Ebipade Ayabotu, Director of Media, Mr Kelvin Omosun Mobilisation/contact, Mr Ado Siakperu Organising secretary, Barr. Isaac O. Legal adviser, Mr. Lucky Akpodor Publicity secretary, Hon. Jude Igwebuike coordinator and others.

The agenda of the group is to enlighten and educate people at the grassroots to support good governance and mobilize supports for People Democratic Party Candidates at all level especially in the 2019 general elections.

The state  director of media who is the news translator in Delta Broadcasting Service DBS Warri, Comrade ayabotu Ebipade during a media chat with Journalist in Warri urged newly admitted members and local government coordinators to work selflessly for the growth of NDE in Delta State.

The LGA coordinators were drawn from the entire Delta senatorial district and LGA in Delta State.

Retired police officers protest over unpaid pensions

Some retired police officers under the contributory pension scheme on Tuesday, May 21, protested at the National Assembly over alleged several months of unpaid pensions with a call on President Bola Tinubu to remove them from the scheme. The protesters decried the extreme challenges they endure, saying that the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) has failed to pay their entitlements for several months causing them and their families untold hardship. The aggrieved retired police officers also wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, calling for an urgent intervention.
