Ayakoromo Youth President Celebrates Tompolo at 55, Describes Him as Pillar of Niger Delta

The Youth President of Ayakoromo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Kemezi Obudu Paul, has praised High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his contributions to the development and emancipation of the Niger Delta region.

In a felicitation message issued on Monday, April 13, on behalf of Ayakoromo youths,

Paul joined well-wishers in celebrating the 55th birthday of the Niger Delta leader and founder of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.

He described Tompolo as a man of strength, wisdom, and uncommon leadership, noting that his life has remained a source of inspiration to many across the region.

“Today, I celebrate a man of strength, wisdom, and uncommon leadership—a pillar to our people and a guiding light to many. Your sacrifices for the peace, growth, and development of the Niger Delta will never be forgotten,” the statement read.

Paul further hailed Tompolo as an outstanding figure in the Niger Delta struggle, referring to him as a symbol of courage and a reference point in matters of peace and conflict resolution.

He added that Tompolo’s influence extends beyond the Niger Delta, describing him as a blessing to the Ijaw nation and Nigeria as a whole.

“As you mark this milestone, may you be granted continued strength, wisdom, and good health to sustain your noble path of service,” Paul stated.

Breaking: ASUU suspends 2-week warning strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its two-week warning strike it declared last week across all public universities in the country. The union announced the suspension on Wednesday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Abuja. President of ASUU, Chris Piwuna, who read a prepared speech before newsmen, explained that the development followed intervention by the Senate and some other well-meaning Nigerians.
