 Egbema leader, Okori donates cash for IPF secretariat project, Urges Ijaw Leaders to do Same 

The immediate past chairman of the defunct Egbema-Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation (EGCDF),
Ambassador Jude Ebitimi Ukori (JP) has made huge financial donation to support the secretariat project of the newly inaugurated Ijaw Publishers' Forum.

The renowned Ijaw leader emphasised on the need to project the development of Ijaw nation during the IPF thank-you visit at his residence in Warri on Saturday March 2, 2024.

He noted that the greatest achievement for Ijaw Nation, the IPF is a choice for Ijaw Nation. 

According to him, the coming together of Ijaw media bodies is highly commendable and worth encouraging to grow, "I am making an instant donation of cash (amount withheld) to support the Secretariat project of the body".

"I am with you and I appeal that Ijaw leaders should support the body. I pray God will touch the heart of the leader to support this body.

"My support is fully with this body to enable it provides the needed voice and platform for Ijaw Nation to speak out. By the grace of God, we will work together, I urge this body to imbibe and uphold the ethics of the media profession".

The president of the forum,  Comrade Ozobo Austin thanked Comrade Jude Okori and appreciate him for gracing IPF inauguration and his benevolence towards IPF, adding that the body would project good and generous leaders.

Ozobo maintained, "On behalf of the body, I want to appreciate you for gracing IPF inauguration and today you are making financial contributions to support the body, thank-you so much, we are proud of you. The IPF has made a declaration that the era of referring to freedom fighters as militants is gone". 

He said this position of IPF was to provide an enabling environment for investors to come and invest in Niger Delta and to provide a platform for rapid development of Ijaw nation.

Woman Burned to Death, Accused of Kidnapping 7yrs Old Boy in Delta

By Tessy ogbemi An angry mob set ablaze a woman accused in a failed child kidnapping attempt in Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.  The incident happened on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.  An eyewitness disclosed at the scene of the incident at Ekwvere Road claimed that the woman hid the seven year old boy she allegedly abducted in a sack, adding that she was even carrying a Bible on one hand.  Community sources said some residents in the area accosted the lady when they observed the way she was dragging the sack, to know what she had in it.  "She was unstable when they asked her to disclose what she was carrying in the sack.
